Member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc, MP Hassan Fadlallah, saw that “the authority in Beirut is incompetent and individual interests, and sometimes sectarianism, prevail at the expense of the nation.” Fadlallah considered in a press conference from the House of Representatives that “the authority is persisting in making concessions to the enemy and has entered a wrong path that increases the rift between the Lebanese,” pointing out that “separating Lebanon from Islamabad’s path was an Israeli demand.” He added, "The Lebanese authority must reconsider its calculations and return to its people," noting that "it was the authority that withdrew the army from the south to leave it prey to the occupation and give it free opportunities." He stressed that "the city of Bint Jbeil is still steadfast and resisting, and despite the destruction of its stadium, the enemy was unable to take a picture inside it," stressing that "the enemy tried to compensate for its defeat on the field in the Washington negotiations." In response to a question, Fadlallah affirmed, “We are against direct negotiations, and the authority that claimed that it would not negotiate with the Israeli enemy has given up and is leaving a ‘mistake’.” He considered that "the picture in Washington is shameful and reflects a small part of the Lebanese people and the majority of our people who support the option of resistance."
